![]() ![]() While adding a card to The List doesn't make them as widely available as a reprint in a standard set, it does still put more copies into circulation, which is usually helpful for dropping a card's price. Magic can be an expensive hobby, so the more steps Wizards of the Coast takes to make expensive cards more accessible to players the better. Hopefully, this pattern continues, and more players will be able to get their hands on All Will Be One's List cards for a reasonable price. Previously expensive cards like Urza's Saga and Force of Vigor have seen their price decrease a bit after being added to The List. Most versions of Blightsteel Colossus are also around $50, and Mycosynth Lattice is worth almost $40. Ahead of Phyrexia: All Will Be One's release, Sword of Feast and Famine is priced around $50. Popular Magic cards can also get pretty expensive, especially if they haven't been reprinted in a while. It's great to see more cards that actually see play getting added to The List, increasing the chance that players will get something useful out of their set booster packs. Players who missed out on ordering the Secret Lair, or those who prefer Magic versions of their cards will now get another chance to grab some of these. The List will now also include the Universes Within versions of the Street Fighter X Secret Lair cards. Another notable reprint is Mycosynth Lattice, which sees plays in some second-tier Vintage decks. Phyrexian Altar is currently played in both Legacy and Premodern, and it also sees a decent amount of play in Commander. Outside of Commander, Phyrexia: All Will Be One will also be adding popular cards in other formats. Wizard of the Coast also added Fist of Suns, a popular card for five-color Commander decks that makes casting big spells easier. Another addition, Sword of Feast and Famine, is a great piece of equipment that can help keep creatures safe and also allows players to untap their lands and have pretty explosive turns. Blightsteel Colossus is a powerful creature card that is capable of taking players out with a single hit. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s a simple, efficient effect that contributes to the card running players up to $25 per copy. Some of the additions to The List are frequent picks for Magic's most popular format, Commander. Netting two mana for each sacrificed creature can easily create infinite mana loops with a variety of different spells. The key to Phyrexian Altar’s strength is that the activated ability is free. This free sacrifice outlet is a staple in Commander as a way to sacrifice creatures for value and an enabler for combo wins. This game-winning combo potential has led Mycosynth Lattice to go for around $45. Hellkite Tyrant can take every permanent an opponent controls if it gets in for combat damage. Combine it with Karn, the Great Creator to shut opponents out of the game, making them unable to tap their lands. Players can use a Vandalblast effect to blow up every permanent opponents control. However, it’s almost never used fairly in Commander. These are some excellent effects, especially when wielded in an Artifact-focused deck. This Artifact turns all permanents into Artifacts, makes all spells colorless, and allows players to spend mana as though it were any color. Mycosynth Lattice is the key to some truly evil combos in Commander. ![]()
